Since it's not from nichia the max output would be around 2.8W @2.5A & 3w@3.8A, no pushing further needed as the datesheet given in techhood though I will test it today and find out more!

Judging by its rear design, mitsubishi seems duplicated nichia 7475 & 7A75 design. Maybe thats why the supplier thought it is from nichia.

It's a Mitsubishi multi diode,(corrected, the supplier was wrong saying it's nichia one and its output:()

Posting here as some of you may want to take a look at this extraordinary thing.

I can buy it for a cheaper price than the one in ebay pm me if interested!

As you see the window is extremely large.

Output (as expected the outputs are around 2.7~3W no matter running 3.5A or 2.8A@handheld :

Some of you guys said it's more like a "Serpents tongue", Here is the real "Twin buster"(x5 expander):

Get out the straight jacket.
You sure seem to have access to the awesome. Sure this isn't a lens thing?

Are you sure that is one diode:thinking:? It looks to me like it two diodes badly combined:D:D:D.
Did you build it or buy it?

Awesome collection your getting there:)

EDIT: Have you LPMed it to confirm the power?

Nichia making reds...watch out Mitsubishi! I assume this is a prototype for multi diode modules for projectors, like that blue module that got out. I assume its 2 dies in one package? If so thatd be pretty cool. But im assuming you wont share any more info with us :)

1. Unknown

2. Depands on suppliers

I assumes the diode is developed for imax 3d projector regarding to its beam characteristic.

hmm, there was an article not too long ago about upcoming completely laser based IMAX projectors. Is that was you referring to?

Well, to my knowledge there are two laser IMAX projectors, Barco and Christie's 6P laser projector.

I know Christie's 6P laser projectors are will be installed in a few places soon.
I don't know how far along Barco's projectors are though.

EDIT: if each laser die can produce 3 Watts, that would be better that the Mits 1.8 Watt that hasn't been released yet.
Is 4A its rated current? because we know how much we like to push diodes here.;)

Re: THIS IS MADNESS - 635nm CW3.5 "Twin buster"

The driver will set to 4A for testing due to 7A75 able to take 4A too. It's not rated current.
