Hope they 'll get cheaper fast! Oh, and there's a typo : they speak 532 but the datasheet clearly says 520. Still not cheap at $200.

A 520nm diode murder fund? As in, a fund meant specifically to purchase a 520nm diode with the intent of pushing one of these gorgeous beauties to its limit for the sake of knowledge? I've noticed! A little bit of searching leads me to all kinds of information about various diodes!That's it, I think you'll find that most diodes we use today have been put through murder testing by at least 1 member
 I just yesterday found myself amazedly staring at a graph, by none other than Blord himself, that would seem to show the PL450B being capable of sustaining output from 5mW all the way through ~300mW! I would be quite curious to see just what these PL-520's can do.

I saw your source from when you first posted the thread. I've been quiet in that thread, but I subscribed to it and I've been subsequently hawk-eyeing it.I feel like everyone is missing the source that I posted...they are available already.
 I'm going to be watching the availability of those diodes, and anything discovered about them, quite closely, as they're giving me the inklings of a potentially interesting idea for after I get my planned 405nm and 638nm builds finished.
