Re: Laser to deter neighbors security camera!

Thx. I'm with you on this. The cops are on my side as well. They know there is something wrong with him. They were actually standing and laughing at him with me. I had them laughing pretty hard. They don't care too much for the NY gangster here in FL...lol I do want to know more about comparable lasers to the spyder . If you can help with that.
For what reason? house/personal use? or for the camera? because you will see the beam and right away know what is going on and move it or take his own legal action. its a FOOLISH move.

Ill only help you if you explain to me how you edit your own posts.
Double, triple posting is very, very frowned upon here.

what he said. so here:

Thanks. Everyone here appreciates your compliance. I realized i shouldnt help you do naughty things with lasers. If you want to know about getting into the hobby, then i will let you know whats up with where to get one. I just cant, morally, help you without feeling like a bad person and helping with a crime. If someone else wants to help, feel free. but i just cant. Sorry.

Re: Laser to deter neighbors security camera!

Ha, I went down the line and do believe I deleted all that I posted that was redundant. I'm sorry I have come off as if I wanted to do something wrong. It is exactly the opposite. I can always shoot it, have it taken down, atc. I just wanted to mount a laser that will keep him from recording the commings and goings. I figure, if a camera can be pointed at my property, then a light can be pointed at his camera. That is what I believed to be fair and not naughty. But yes I am interested in getting into a hobby with lasers. I sold semiconductors for years, so I have a good line on suppliers to build, but not to buy.

Forget the lasers and stuff, just ignore the Cameras, you shouldn't be doing any incriminating things out in front of your house in the first place. Cameras are looking at you most of the day, it does not affect you in the slightest if your not up to anything.

You should try talking to him and explain to him you don't appreciate being filmed and tell him you'll do the same if he is allowed, why not you?

Re: Laser to deter neighbors security camera!

what a stoopid thread-- troll detector is going off..

Why give lasers a worse name than they already have.

Aside from Jerry, Kart & Edracator... most of you are.... n/m not worth my time.

What you post is simply un-true. I got 1 other “this sounds criminal” response. It seems to appear you may be the type of person to point a camera at another man's wife, after you threatened to sodomize her, (she has an attractable figure), and 5 year old after you threatened to “get your kid”. As you see, after all THAT, I am only attempting to block his view. Well, if you think the law cannot be manipulated by the lawless, you may be on another planet. I do take offense at any insinuation that I intend to do anything criminal or lawless. There are no laws THAT I HAVE FOUND OR KNOW OF, keeping a camera from invading privacy. Nor are there laws on directing light to keep our privacy in a matter such as this. The camera is in a place that only the sky is the back ground if it is missed by the beam. If the post bugs you report it and ignore it. I will re-state. I DO NOT INTEND TO, OR ASK FOR ANY ADVICE THAT WILL BREAK THE LAW OR CIRCUMVENT IT.

Not only did you not read my post #19 about Double Posting
and how to avoid it but right after that post you decided to
post 5 consecutive Posts within minutes...
Then instead of combining your Threads you delete them
completely to turn this Thread into non coherent GARBAGE...

NO You can't shoot it... that is destruction of property
and is illegal...

Now you have me wondering what it is that YOU don't
want to be recorded... Are you doing something illegal...

You figure wrong...
A camera is a receiving device. It picks up photons and
images that are transmitted by other sources.
If you don't want to transmit that data then do something
at the source.

A Laser or light is a transmitting device.

I'm a bit confused.... I couldn't find that text anywhere on
this Thread...
You better explain who that is addressed to....

By your own admissions of NEEDING privacy... I would
also question how badly you need it and why since you say
the police wont help but are laughing with you at the camera
owner.

Why did you not ask the Police about using a Laser or Light
source to foil the camera seeing you and yours....

I would suggest that you seek concrete legal advice rather
than assuming the law in your jurisdiction
.

If the responses/opinions by the Forum members "bug" you
then report them or ignore them. We did not come to your
home to ask questions..

BTW... we don't know you from a hole in the wall. All we have
to go on is what you Post. We haven't heard the other side of
the story by the guy that owns the camera...

Re: Laser to deter neighbors security camera!

This is addressed to lasersbee....That post was addressed to: hakzaw1...and I attempted to follow your (lasersbee) direction about posting. I am apparently not understanding...I will get it as I am reading this site well today as I have time for it. I was eager to reply for the information...AS FOR """Shoot""" is not even close to what I said, intend, or looking for. It can only be misperceived. I did read someone else "joke" to 'shoot', 'come from behind', 'take care of it' and 'hire' some kids. perhaps sarcasms or irony tend to be used. I can assure you that as I said to hakzaw1 I am only looking for a legal and ethical way to defend ourselves. I will look over and see where that is misperceived. Perhaps the erratic way in which I reply ads to the confusion, but AGAIN, I am taking corrective action.

I have not been hit in the eyes with any Lasers...
My eyesight is just fine...
No need to write in large font text...

No problem... just thought I would give my opinion
of the events as I see them...
Nice to see that you are trying to get the hang of
the Forum..

Re: Laser to deter neighbors security camera!

I would suggest asking him not to point it at your property, as nice as you can. You would be surprised what asking nicely can do. That failing, you can use a lens and some of them led and driver combo dtr pulls out of crapios. Call it a red security light. You cannot "deliberately interfere" but you are allowed security lights. Otherwise I can think of things to do with a hi gain antenna....

OK here's try no. 2: Did you try hiring a lawyer? If you're willing to spend hundreds on a laser or on a IR panel why not just seek legal advice from an attorney?

Re: Laser to deter neighbors security camera!

I do vaguely remember J.B. Electronics when I was a sales manager for a components distributor. Funny, it is a small world. I'm interested in how JB evolved since the industry crashed. I'm looking forward to clicking around your site. Thx for all the info. I hope I can do business with you if it will achieve my goals. Thx

Which components distributor...
J.B. Electronics existed quite a while ago before it
was bought out by BAUER Electronics Inc.
There is an "About" page on our website...
