A while ago, I picked up a few of these kits from Addonex - http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/blu-ray-405nm-uv-fluorescence-glow-kit-back-stock-75183.html#post1085462 - and used some of the powder to color-in my old G1 Arctic. It needs to be cleaned up a little and I'm waiting on more materials to finish it, but what do you guys think so far?

Thanks Kart, I was hoping I wouldn't over do it. Now I've got the bug and can't wait for more materials to do some of the other lasers I have sitting around.

P.S. and thx to Addonex for making such an awesome glow kit.

Now it looks like a laser weapon from space :gj:

I love it, it's a very cool laser now :D

Very nicely done, it looks professional :eg:

What did you mix the GITD power with to get it to stay in between the ribs ?

BTW when linking some one to a particular post click on the post number
and it will then take them to the post and not just to the thread the post
is in, see> http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/b...-glow-kit-back-stock-75183-4.html#post1085462

Thanks guys.
I mix up a thick paste from a healthy dose of the powder with a small amount of "Fix It! PRO" which is "UV-sunlight activated".
It's a car paint scratch remover that wont dry until I hit it once or twice with my 405, then it dries in seconds. If I make a mistake I just don't dry it, wipe it away and start again.
Here is a link to the product, but it's much cheaper on e-bay.
Amazon.com: Simoniz S13 Fix it Pro Clear Coat Scratch Repair Pen: Automotive

PS: The green balls in the tip are GITD airsoft pellets, not the powder. The rest of it is permanent as far as I know.

This really looks incredible, and the UV activated stuff you used sounds really nice, I might have to pick up some myself now to experiment with :D +Rep for the awesome mod, and thanks for linking back as well.

Thanks again guys. :thanks:
I plan on doing a couple more lasers this weekend and I'll post pics here when finished.

I don't see a problem with modding your saber if you would like. Shoot me a PM.

Please do tell what you mixed the GITD powder with to get it to stay in between the ribs of the S3...

Wow  I've got to try this! I've been making gitd o-rings and I thought that was cool, but this takes the cake. You should do a tutorial if you have time. I would love to try this out
