How many times have you been on airplanes?

I've only flown 3 times. Always right behind the wing.

On our way back from Florida we had a lot of turbulence. I'm an adrenaline junkie, but I hate the feeling of not having control over any of it. By the time we landed, I was ready to get off the plane.

I have never flown. Ever.

Why?

I don't have the money to take trips that require flying. If I can't drive there, I don't go.

At least 100 times. I'll even go as far as giving each type that I remember.

727
737s including the -100 and -200
747
767
777
A340 - I think it was a -200
MD-11
DC-10
KC-10
MD-8X
KC-135R
C-17
C-130
Cessna 150 - There's a few flights were it was just me inside
Cessna 172
1 or 2 different models from Bombardier. The flights were on a CRJ-XXX.
Some type of POS turboprop puddle jumper garbage.
Piper Arrow
A hot air balloon that was tethered.
JU-88

The 777 has the best ride IMO. Especially if it has GE90s installed. My dream is to go up in a U-2. The A-10 would be fun but there are no flying 2 seaters. I'd love to pull the trigger for the GAU-8. I'm going to book a flight on a 787 once there are more of them around. I have no desire to fly on an A380.

A hot air balloon that was tethered.

Never considerd counting that as a flight, but i did go up on a tethered helium balloon one time (at angkor, cambodia). Very nice viewpoint for taking pictures :D

~20 commercial with a trip to jamaica next week
1 private
1 hot air balloon
1 or 2 Helicopter (cant remember)

all uneventful so far except for landing in Frankfurt, I had the camera under the plane on and we were less than 10 feet from touchdown and woosh up we went. then the captain came on and told us there was another plane on the runway and we would try again.

Nice message to get...

I've had a few go arounds in bad weather conditions, but afaik never because the runway was blocked. I do remember stopping awfully close to the end of the runway in dusseldorf though, despite is long enough for the 737 to land easily. No explanation given :(

4-6 times, I think. Been to Florida, back, then NY, Washington, etc.

I rather like flying to be honest. Take offs are especially fun ... looking outside while being that close to the ground gives me tingly feelings. :B

Hehe.. take off and landing is fine, its just the part in between that i dislike.

To make the entire flight fun takes a flight in a small, unpressurized, aircraft. That way you stay close enough to the ground to enjoy to view along the way, and those flights usually don't last that long either :)

Twice, once to Barcelona from London and then the return trip.
It was a great experience for me as I had always wanted to go on an aeroplane flight. When it was taking off I was so overcome with the emotion I was close to tears it was so excellent. Until that time I had feared that I might live and die and never have known what an aeroplane journey was really like, and yet I really really wanted to go somewhere in one.
I will never forget it.

For me about 25+ times. Flying is alright, I've never gone 1st class. So I always get stuck with pretzels or stale nuts. I want to chop off my own ears sometimes aswell due to the pressure. I also hate turbulence lol.

In date order :-

Manchester > Tel Aviv (and then the return) 1980
Livepool > Luton >Luton >Inverness 1999
Manchester > New York (and then the return)2003
Manchester > Prague (and then the return) 2012

8 in total, I love flying but the decompression kills my left ears for weeks afterwords.
