Re: WTB- >500mW 532nm handheld

What is you limit?

If can buy a 1.1W 532nm handheld from CNI directly. Can arrange you that.

Re: WTB- >500mW 532nm handheld

You would probably get a few more responses if you posted a picture of your laser safety goggles, along with today's date and your LPF user name.

As DJNY points out... a price range is also crucial. No one wants to bother if you only have $100 budgeted for a laser.

Also is this your first laser? Reason I'm asking is for idle curiosity/use there isn't that much of a difference between 200mW and say 400mW, but there is quite a bit in terms of price.

Re: WTB- >500mW 532nm handheld

Well, I have 2x 532nm at the moment, and one is around 450mW,
but after using it I've got the bug, so to speak.

Looking for >700mW or so, but I see your point in raising mW vs. cost...
Would I even notice the difference between 450mW and 750mW?

Not unless you held them literally side by side.

The fact of the matter is without an LPM a couple hundred mW mean nothing except bragging rights.

If you already have a tested 450mW 532nm laser, have some fun and get another wavelength instead.

This!

+ if you got the extra cash, I would be happy to get you a 1.1W 532nm :) I´m SURE you´re going to see a difference next to your 450mW. What brand is your 450mW one?

YEP!!^^^

let me ask you a question- should a 250mW 532nm be 'half' as bright as a 500mW 532nm???

if you said yes you are wrong and IMO have some new things to learn IMO.

no offence meant-- but we get this same exact question almost daily--do a search for more answers. Just the fact that you asked it tells a lot.

Re: WTB- >500mW 532nm handheld

I just don't see many 532nm over 500mW
so getting ahold of one that's in the >750mw. is what I am really looking for
as the first line in the OP says...:D

Re: WTB- >500mW 532nm handheld

still looking, you builders out there come up with a really unique host for me and I am ready with the $

Re: WTB- >500mW 532nm handheld

I'm going to jump in here with a noob question :) Mostly because I haven't really been following greens lately.

What can actually be had at this stage in the ~$800 range, in terms of high powered portables? Do we know what the Krypton is using? Is it a CNI module?

At some stage, I'm going to invest in a high powered 532 portable. DJNY, I was going to chat with CNI sometime soon, but if you know their prices off hand, could you PM me? I'll forgo emailing Ava.

Will this actually be 1.1W? and what price are we looking at here? I am with RHD, shoot me a pm if you would please.

Re: WTB- >500mW 532nm handheld

Add me to the list as well please.

I'm always on the hunt for a more powerful green, but not willing to take the plunge on the krapton.

Re: WTB- >500mW 532nm handheld

Until we get Green diodes you may never get a >500mW that is a 'build' and any build done with a 532nm module would not likely be that high mW.

look what I found using the search--(try it-its free!)

http://laserpointerforums.com/f52/jetlasers-pl-c-600mw-green-laser-532nm-1-2w-peak-58209.html

you may be able to get a 500mW from Jetlaser GB #7..

It would help some if you would put your location in your profile--where you live makes big diff.

Ditto for that list. Been looking for a quality green.
