Based on all the trouble of ordering, extracting, organizing, and shipping I think a little "profit" is in order, and I don't think anybody here should have any problem with it!

I know I really wouldn't want to organize anything like this, my organization skills suck!

Also remember that these diodes are reported to need extra optics to obtain a "good" beam. These are not likely to be a LOC into an Aixiz module project.
Remain calm -- prices are dropping and that's the good news.

From what I've seen so far they seem to give a decent beam with the included lens.

Now we need someone to make a aixiz lens nut that holds that lens so we can use our aixiz modules. It might be possible to hollow out a acrylic lens nut and put one of these in there.

Can we get some dimensions of that lens when you get them Elektro? They look rather deep.

Pontiac -- That's what I'm saying! It will likely be an easy fix if you have "machines" to do the work. In short order, there will be housings available.
LPF members will make available what is needed.

Considering that 445nm is more of an RGB "blue" I hope these will go well in nearly full-color laser.

I cant wait for a projector with a 635nm diodes, you know its coming :D

When we get green diodes and 635 diodes cheap like this the RGB projectors will be amazing! All the same beam sizes, all high efficiency diodes, hopefully all can share a common ground!

Are these diodes floating ground like a bluray? I hope so...

are these diodes actually 5.6mm? i thought that because it is multimode it would be 9mm...

Hope you guys get a good one.
Projector News - Casio's New LED/Laser Hybrids
They have them at Best Buy 5 miles from my house. I was wondering if you measured the luminosity to make sure the projector is 2000 lumens. If you bought it at Best Buy and it wasn't as high I'm sure they would replace it with another.
Seems like most are under spec.

Seems that there are a few testing these diodes already so if anybody finds information on:

* Pin out
* Current (I read that somebody is testing at 400mA's?)
* Forward voltage

That would be great information even to put right in the first post. And/or in Niko's diode thread...

Obviously we will be using the Micro Boost driver in most cases if the forward voltage is near 5 volts and a high current is needed...
