Never said it wasn't worth it, just stated it is definitely out of his price range :)

Yes I know what the retail price is for new then and now, I was looking it up.

A few people I know are using ASUS and love it. I can't really say much about the more recent models but they've definitely got my vote.
I have a little 1001HA which has been running for over 14 months.

My mom had an EEE PC 900 that was the epitome of all that is evil in this world. Junk from day one. I'll forgive them for the early EEE PCs though. Everyone slips up at least once.

Oh I didn't even notice that. Well, guess that narrows it down to one :p

The one thing that I do like about the Lenovo is that the GPU is much faster than the one on the Asus. Granted, I really don't plan on playing that many games on it. It's just nice to have it as an option.

You can try calling them and telling them you'd like to buy it only if they can ship it out within the week, otherwise you're going to buy an ASUS. See what they say lol, couldn't hurt.

The specs look good for the price, I don't have any experience with MSI, maybe someone else knows more about their reliability (which I assume is fine).

how does the Phenom quad core compare against the i5 core?

Is the i5 faster?

I'm a little confused about this one. In all honesty, I like it's specs outside of the smaller hard drive and ram. Ram is cheap and I can work with a 320GB. I like the 3 year warranty on this one. (They even include the battery on that)

Manufacturer Warranty
Accidental Damage Warranty: 1 year ASUS Accidental Damage Warranty - Drops, Fire, Spill, Surge
Parts: 3 years limited
Labor: 3 years limited

The battery sounds a bit strange on it though, but it does have a 3 year warranty.
Battery: Boston Power 3 Cell 47WHr (Equivalent to standard 6 Cell)

What do you think of this one? Sorry to bug you so much.
