Sometimes I wonder, maybe a company decided to put in a large order to CNI just before we did this group buy and that's why this is taking so long...

Yes. Starts with "L". Ends with "aserglow".

Ah, that makes a lot of sense now. I just received an email from LG the other day about their new models, and it seems they're finally entering the 445nm market with the "Polaris" models (CNI PGL-III-C's) and I could understand how this could cause some delays with the GB. Thanks for helping put 2 and 2 together, Aryntha!

Maybe LG caused the delay with the GB only, since I ordered two difficult lasers from CNI (off GB) and took 11 days from the day I wire transfer to CNI to the lasers at my door. How big is this GB anyway?

Cheers

Hmm. You're lucky Regina -- custom lasers on my end from CNI have been at least 14 days until they said they were done with production...

They do vary though.

The lasers in your signature caught my eye

Reginak, I couldn't help but notice that you have some review-worthy lasers in your signature *cough* 140mW 589nm *cough*; have posted any media or reviews on any of them? I'm a huge yellow fan and I have a 589 order in this GB that I'm patiently waiting on, so a video or some pictures of your *insert proper word to describe a >100mW yellow laser here* would definitely ease the wait :yh:

Thanks and have a good one!

I just took a look at those. Nice looking lasers, just don't really agree with them charging 3x as much, CNI quality or not. <_<

Welcome to LG, home of the most expensive 447nm/mW lasers on the market.

Welcome to LG, home of the most expensive 447nm/mW lasers on the market.

Roithner-Laser, also a CNI reseller, has these 447nm for months at near the same price as LG. I dont think that LG came with something special, and even if it has correction optics, the price is still very high. I think that LG hopes that some people pick one during their sales with the coupon-codes.

Well, would be nice to get this before Christmas for me. Is that going to be realistic?

Realistic? Not really. CNI still has to ship them (unless they have and we are uninformed). Then it will take X amount of days/weeks to get to Glenn. Glenn has to test, repack, and reship which will take another X amount of days/weeks. I assume... sometime Feb?

Then again I'm trying to give a decent amount of time for deviation with that estimate. I'm sure others have a better idea.

CNI shipping to Glenn takes a few days max, their shipping isn't free, in fact it's quite expensive, but worth it. Glenn takes a few days max to meter and ship them. It's safe to say that once they leave CNI's hands you'll see them in about two weeks.

I have to admit, I'm starting to get discouraged as to seeing these lasers in 2010... The GB entering the beginning of Month #5 now while other people have gotten their custom orders in 11-14 days from payment to receipt, isn't too pleasing.

No idea what's going on but it doesnt seem to be routine...

Only one man does know what's going on -- and he doesn't seem to be around much lately. :|

Really, as customers here (I have $688 tied up in this GB) - we should at least know when orders are placed, and get an ETA from CNI. (They've always been able to at least give me an estimate.)

I've tried talking to CNI directly on this; they won't respond to me. Glenn has to do it....

Ok - New post so that subscribers to the thread will get the notifications, but:

Word from Glenn is that:

-Yes, he has a lot going on, and is swamped with things he has to do, but that is coming under control shortly.

-Yes, the GB#11 lasers will DEFINITELY arrive, he says.

-I did not get a word on when, but he says he received some GB#10 replacement lasers (from defectives in GB#10) just last week.

-He does say he'll let us know more soon.

So, wish I had more to report, but at least it's something.
