Re: "CLOSED.!!!" GB: For The New 3.8mm Red Diodes 660nm (Taking Payments for Round 2)

Lasereer we all appreciate you blazing the trails on finding new diodes. It takes hard work, persistence and is a risky business. It is too bad it didn't work out this time, but I like many other members here are glad you took the risk.

I'm right there with you when you find the next sick red diode. Looking forward to the next GB.

Thanks for all of your work lazereer, so what you are saying is I can either get a refund, or just buy some other diodes from you?

I think I would be interested in getting 3 of those duals. Are there any other diodes you are offering? I didn't quite follow what you said about the 5.6mms or other ones.

Re: "CLOSED.!!!" GB: For The New 3.8mm Red Diodes 660nm (Taking Payments for Round 2)

Thanks Guys.:)

yathern2,

For Now the options are:

-Full Refund
-Partial Refund with Duals
-Full Duals

I do Have other stuff we can talk about in Pms as it seems easier to keep track of everything that everyone needs one on one and much less confusing then do talk about it here then again at in Pm and keep going back and forth.:)

But in your case you had 1 diode on order. SO 3 duals will be $15 + $3 shipping total $18 so i would refund you $2 and ship you out 3 duals.:)

The 5.6mm diodes are a Long shot. If they turn out to be good I will do a post/test showing with videos and see what everyone thinks. Then go from there.

I got my PM yesterday and recieved refund today! Awesome! That was very quick and easy. Just like this group buy was from the beginning. Painless. Nothing else can be said about Angelos and his efforts he put forth for us besides that he did a wonderful job.

Thank you so much sir, I will most definitely participate in any of your group buys down the road!

You tried your damnedest man. I'll PM you tonight or tomorrow with my decision. I can't decide on a refund or a couple diodes. A laser that can produce different beams would be cool.

i've never dealt with a dual wl diode. . i just received one of the 3.8 duals from lazeerer and there are only 3 pins. i pm'd angelos, but i know he's busy, anyone have info on these diodes? do they emit both wl's at the same time or what?

edit: after further searching i found an example of a dual here: 250mW 350mW 200mW Dual Wavelength 3 8mm Laser Diode 650nm 780nm Dual Band | eBay
is this the same diode?

edit again: should have looked further before i posted, same diode tho?

Wouldnt it be a common case cathode and each of the isolated pins are for each wavelengths anode?

I've seen these diodes in laptop DVD burners they look the same and are as he describes.

Fiiddy, they are common case / cathode?

that's it fiddy. just put together my first ir laser with this diode. i gave the ir side 300mA from a little atma linear. it's putting out 185mW. new WL!

So I have seen a diode like this one b4 too I killed the red but what is the 780 used for? I know the 808 is used for pumping crystals I actually have a 800mw 780nm but I have no idea what I can do with it or what it would be used for.

i'm not sure what they use the ir side for in these diodes. maybe to burn data? i'm getting 2 more to play with. i want to see what the 650 side's dot looks like.

Hmm I thaught they may have been used for pumping something else. My other thaught on them is can you run both sides at the same time? and what would that do to the nm's would that combine them or put out two parallel beams?
