Ok, we all know that ordering from DX can take forever. I understand this.

What I am interested in is your experiences in how long tracked packages took to arrive in various places in the US AFTER they've left Hong Kong on that ever-so-slow boat.

Don't flame me for the thread. If it's that irrelevant, I'll remove it.

I've had good experiences and bad...

eBay pens from Hong Kong took 15 days to get here from time they shipped first time around, 2nd time around it took 27 days. I think the norm is ~3 weeks for most people in US....

2-4 weeks, sometimes as little as one week (much faster than from the USA I may add). 5-6 weeks if you're unlucky. I think 44 days was the longest I ever had to wait.

Thank you everyone. This is what was in the last email I received:

The item (RT########HK) left Hong Kong for its destination on 1-Mar-2013.

So, I guess we shall see how long it takes.

I am so dangerous to my wallet in these times of wait...

Usually when I am waiting for something, once it posts that on the tracking sites, it takes FOREVER before its updated and actually cleared customs...

from my experience, about 10 days from the time it to get thrown into the mail, until it pops up in the USA. then normal USA delivery time from there....

Like everyone, good and bad experiences. Ranges from 10 business days to over 30 business days! ->Canada<-

Just a question guys, I bought a couple of pens from eBay and it was shipped at Feb. 22. I know that tracking is crap and useless but how is the seller supposed to know if their packages are to arrive at the destination without providing me a tracking number? Delivery confirmation?

They don't know if it arrives, most go without delivery confirmation or tracking. They charge a little more on the item and set it aside for self insurance in case of non-delivery. (or at least that's what I think they do)

You'd probably win. I've had people who would order, open a dispute, and i'd refund them. and they would do that with EVERY order. I caught on and they were banned from buying stuff from me.

I no longer just refund disputes. I let them drag out as long as possible. If someone doesn't get their package, i send a replacement. If they claim they didn't get that one i refund them and avoid doing business with them in the future.

If people just open disputes without coming to me first. I drag it out. I wait until the deadline for everything to make it take as long as possible.

In my experience, it has taken about 1-2 weeks to ship from Guangdong. I have ordered things however, that have taken over a month.

I recently received my order from DX that I placed right at the begining of their holidays.
Including a delay for an out of stock item, and the shut down for the holidays, it took about 4 wks.
Approximately 2 - 3 weeks without the delays.

I've had things come to me within a week, but a few times I've waited a solid month. Usually its 2 around weeks though.
