a suite w/ kitchen is a better deal for three or four its only $28+tax a nite- only drawback is the two rollaways in the front room-and that is really n/p-- not much time IMHO is spent in the rooms-

there are also some coming w/o a spot just yet-- so keep an open mind-- the HIE allows us to change at the last minute if needed...
I am still seeking a rider but that may be gone too- I will know for sure by Sunday next.

I may have something worked out with DZ over at PL. He's checking to see if Greg and Aaron are willing to share first. They are both staying for the Safety Certification course on Monday.

ALSO a few others need to share a room or suite-- Jib is riding with me afaik maybe Mr Willing too--also I dont know if Alex(MM) has a plan for a room- as I have said the suites are still available even once you get there and WAY cheaper than two in a double room.

SELEM lodging update--

I was just told that an even better(but kinda cramped) deal at the Holiday Inn is getting a double and squeezing one or two others on airbeds.with four that would bring down the nightly rate to ~21$ +tax.

SELEM is all about the shows etc- not the lodging- There is so much going on and stuff to see that even when I was at the HIE I spent a few hrs every night schmoozing with people in the lobby and watching even more shows-demos etc in the conference room.

BTW -- anyone living not too far away should consider making a day trip and seeing some free laser shows- all you need to do is get there and see Buffo so you can sign the Waiver. Park in back and enter thru the loading dock.

And if you want-- any size donation helps a lot. See Buffo at the event.

'masterpj' from the Netherlands is not letting a big pond keep him away and yes there are LEMs all over the globe- some small-- like just two guys --and some quite large.
Go to Photonlexican - and then to the 'Meets n Greets' subforum and take a look. One is UKLEM and there are others. I am hosting my second one in South Texas this fall.

its mostly RGB projectors, I had 2 beam tables and someone else also brought a beam table...

what will we have this year? who knows! thats half the fun lol

I know this year we are going to have lumia projectors setup in the dining area...

last year we got a sneak peak at Pangolin Beyond and some a QS2 demo from pangolin in the classroom...

we are trying to make it more organized this year... we'll see how it works out *crosses fingers*

Sadly our traditional Chef 'Mophead' Doug and his lady will not be there to serve up thier now famous(w/us anyway) Hand Pulled BBQ pork. Hopefully they may drop in for a few hours. They will be missed and we all hope to see them and thier tasty BBQ at SELEM VI.

Just to change up things a bit for our 'at-the-venue' feast on Friday, Brad is bringing his famous meatballs and I will make the Marinara Sauce and pasta. Tossed salad and fresh made garlic toast will be on the buffet as well.


We are all looking forward to meet Dr Sam Goldwasser and Daguin too.

LPF will be also represented well with the attendance of Pontiacg5, Meatball, JakeGT, LORDJET, icecruncher, and some guy called SpaceJay(wonder who he could be??) Returning aside from myself will be Laserman 121(Zach) and many who are members of both laser forums too. MarioMaster, flecom, Mr Willing, and Dr Lava just to name a few.

It is NOT too late to sign up-

Just give Adam (Buffo) your shirt size(NOT a cheap T-shirt either) While it is not needed to be a member of PL- I can see no reason for anyone interested in laser shows to not join. Please remember that PL needs your donation just as much as LPF, if not more. The information and help is worth every penny you can donate.

Here is where to send PP your 50$-- adburns(at)sc.rr.com - add besides your shirt size(btw extra shirts are only 20$, in ADVANCE) your name and user name. Attendees are permitted to bring guests. Small children may not be a good idea.. All coming will sign a waiver btw.


The buffet and shirt IMHO alone are worth the 50$-- the rest is icing on the cake....!!!

I ,or others, will be happy to answer any questions AFTER you read the sign up thread in 'Meets n Greets' at PL. There are many other related threads at PL and here on LPF.

these are collared knit shirts- the logo is monogrammed , not printed.

But dont count on getting one if you wait too long or are thinking that a bunch of extras will be for sale at the event.:tsk:

The attendee fee is the same if you just show up but no shirt.
