Yet Another 445nm "First Build" :D

thanks pal :)

yes heat transmission is low for the brass ...

Yup, if I recall, AL is twice as thermally conductive as brass, and CU is four times as brass. However, Al will "disperse" the heat quicker than CU. So, Cu will reach a thermal saturation point faster if you want a long duty cycle. Im no metallurgist, though ....lol.

Anyway, :gj: on polishing it. It looks great! :)

Another Upgrade :D (last upgrade removed)

The things I did:

removed the expanding lens
removed the DX buck driver
removed the 3x 16340 batteries
removed the battery expanding ring
drilled the battery tubes to fit 18650
finally put my new boost/buck driver set at 1.75A with a custom heatsink in
a build and test it's performane ^_^
new 18650 battery from Larry - Samsung 2800mAh
put everything together and voala....

I got my laser more power smaller host and 1 battery operation ^_^
I feel good about myself -hahahahah :D:D:D:D

Wow, i like this.
Slick.
Inspires for my next handheld 445 which will be active cooled heh.

Tom;

Nice job on all the mods.

Your new buck-boost circuit should be a hit on the board.

Allows the single #18650 cell and many more host options.

I will take some of your batteries again soon ^^ :)

Nice job.

Can you tell us which DX driver you used and how you did the mod to 1.67A?

Thanks.
