Was wondering what price it finally went for?

$500 was not much for that great laser, you should have been able to make a nice bit of extra money in selling it.

You mentioned you had a offer of $1200 via PayPal from a non-LPF source--did that happen or is it still for sale?

If not sold I have someone interested in buying it.

Alaskan: I think you might be correct. Something does not sit right about it---especially considering his last post.

There were more than enough good bids for more than he paid for it so hard to figure what he means---perhaps he mean't people were not bidding crazy high prices which he imagined he might get - could be the case.

He never indicated whether or not it was sold so I thought to ask if it was actually sold.

My thought was the whole thing was a ruse, someone playing with us but what I can't explain, if that theory is correct, was how it could have been listed on ebay. I tried to get a Skype video conference going with him to check the guy out, he said he would, but never could make it happen.

Might have been --- he did say in his welcome thread here: http://laserpointerforums.com/f37/greetings-northen-russia-97862.html --that he bought it from LPF member Minamoto Kobayashi.

I suppose we could ask Kobayashi if he in fact sold it to the guy----then we would know if he had somethng to sell or was just running a scam. My take was the laser was real and he had it but something was amiss. He had an anonymous contact who had been wanting to buy it for 6 months and was now offering $1200 paypal $s sounded a bit fishy but....benefit of the doubt.......?

He had a great bid of $650 here on LPF which would have been $150 more than the $500 Minamoto Kobayashi sold it for.

Will be interesting to see if he responds sold or not sold.

Yes, he sure could write and understand English well, as a native, but I think he said he wasn't originally from Russia when I asked him about it. My wife is a native Russian speaking lady from Ukraine, I know some commonly used language, could have spoken to him in both English and some Russian.

I was interested in this laser also it made me drool but I was questioning validity when I first read this as well, but I am still new so I wasn't gonna be first one to say it.. lol.
 
Haha guys, it was funny to read all you posted during my absence. As I told you I was married in the end of August and was on honeymoon away from any forums. Guys, don't try to find bad things among good ones. Laser is still not sold because the man who made an offer had some personal problems and was not able to make a payment in time.

plag, you have to understand and i'm sure you have followed this forum enough to see unfortunately how many trolls or spammers have caused issue's. Please take no offence to some of us who might have a feeling of being scammed. Its just going to happen.

Thank you, guys, I take everything easy, so no worries. Laser is still on sale but I think I would not go less than 1000.

Trades are acceptable, so make an offer.
 
I don't think anyone will trade, simply because there is no Trade-A-Pal method of making things right if they go wrong, no fault of your own.
