Hello guys! My name is Alex. I am from Russia. I was born in Magadan near Okhostk Sea, but now live and work on the world's largest diamond mine near Udachny town. "Udachny" means "Lucky" in russian. It is really "Lucky" town because there were lots of diamonds layed right under foot when geologists came to this area first time.
I finished 5 years study in Novosibirsk State Technical University and obtained Engineer's Degree in Energy Industy Process Automation. Now I work as Automation & Controls Engineer in ALROSA company, I deal with controls systems maintenance, service, troubleshooting on different facilities within diamond mine. My responsibilities starts with single sensor installation and are not limited to PLC/SCADA programming and HMI design. I work with Allen Bradley products mostly.
First time I was interested in lasers when I saw 2W Rick Trent's handmade 455nm flashlight-hosted laser. I bought it right away and had much fun with it. I also measured it output power on old russian rotating scientific device and it showed pretty decent 1.85+ Watts.
Then more than a year ago I had thought I should buy something way more cooler so I went up for Laserglow Hercules 700. I bought this State Of The Laser's Art thing from valueable LPF member Minamoto Kobayashi. Now I am the owner of Hercules 700 and it makes me happy when I just hold a half of meter of cold, heavy piece of steel in my hand.
As I have wedding and church marriage this summer and my fiancee don't want to live in such small, isolated, cold town I have decided to leave Udachny and move to a better place to work and live there.
Guys, if you need or know someone who needs experienced and highly qualified, self-motivated and life-long learning engineer - I would glad to receive any job related suggestion (offers) in my field of expertise (controls \ automation engineering) in any country.
I am also LDS member with respect to any other confessions.
Thank you! It is very nice to see myself among the fellows!
