I think the warning from Steve, LSRFAQ, that these will all fail may have some people nervous about these lasers. I still have mine that is still doing just fine and shows no signs of giving up anytime soon.
I have two spare 575 modules I don't use, could replace one at a time. I use my pointers fairly sparingly anyway. Do you remember what causes the problem? I suppose I could just put another diode in it too.
Hi, This unit runs well and plenty of sinking , the module is isolated and I used a SXD driver so shouldn't be a problem.
Chris Enjoy the beautiful beam of 575nm.

I wanted to put one of mine in a host, but the driver I ordered from SL never came, lost in the mail, so I gave up on it until I saw this one already done. Thanks for the great deal Rich.
I paid for one of each at the very beginning-- was given wrong PP addy had to resend the $$ and then the first fails started-- I was put off 6 or 7 times.. may have to settle for other items that Opt (China) sells. but no cash refund.. not a happy camper.
seems Shenzhen Optlaser still has some of the 575nm units declared as low power units (<10mw) but not advertising them. Surely because of the issues reported / regressions.
