I'm looking for a side clicky host (or hosts). Something sexy looking to build a new diode I have coming this week.

Preference to something that can be shipped quickly. Doesn't matter if the side clicky is an on/off button or a momentary, because I'll be swapping in a momentary switch anyway. However, I don't want any sort of pen style host, and I don't want a host that relies on the driver board itself for mounting of the button. IE, new-wish style hosts are no good, etc.

The guidesman is basically the general layout/style I'm looking for, but I don't want to actually use a guidesman for this.

Have you checked out the Sipik host by Qumefox? If you ask me, they look pretty sexy :D

Contact Ehgemus or ask Jeff or Jay. Had good experiences with all of them.

A completely custom host from Ehgemus would probably take a bit longer than I want to wait for this particular builds, and I didn't think either Jay or Jeff had any side clicky hosts - except for Jay's pen style ones.

I have and love that Sipik from Qumefox!
Problem is, it's built with a 445 already, and I'm not willing to cannibalise it ;)

Not a side clicky, but I've always thought it would be fun to have something like one of these as a laser. Bass Pro shops had one on special a few weeks ago, but I don't see them on the web anymore. (Never could tell from the ad if they were plastic or metal bodied) The one at Bass Pro even had a magnetic base.

I feel your pain rhd, there seems to be a lack of cool looking side button flashlights since most of the good stuff are sold as tactical lights, and apparently the professionals dont like side button clickys.]

i found this ok looking side button host that takes a 14500...it looks like any other host, but it has a built in charging port thats connected before the switch...it is reminiscent of Matt's police host that has a similiar built in charging port. Im running a overdriver Q5 in mine because i need a decent powered small sized thrower....which this light does nicely... i might buy another one and have Jeff make a heatsink for it.

lemme give you the link HERE

That's a nice looking host!

I'm pretty set on two-cell setups. At this stage, I trust DIY linear drivers a lot moreso than commercial boosts. I have never had a linear driver fail on me.

I have many hosts in stock and several side clickies, TANK007, SIPIK, Romisen RC-R4, small sun 118A, I could probably find more if I root through the drawers.
