WTB - powerful 635nm diode?

Why is it that I cant find a 635nm diode stronger than 7mW? I figured if you can get a 660nm at around 300mW stronger 635nm diodes would be around too. Is it just because they have no real uses? I really like the color of my 7mW module, so much that I refused to sacrifice it for a 660nm diode

Am i just not looking enough or do they really not exist?

They exist in powers up to an beyond 300mW.
Expect a big price tag and a c-mount multimode diode.

You can find 635nm lasers with 300mW and higher at Dragonlasers. These lasers include power supply, casing etc etc not just a basic diode.

Take a look at the pdf of their price lists. They've got a 20mW 635nm laser pointer for $107. It's pricey but it's the highest "pointer" type 635nm laser I've ever seen.

Pontiac, I've got one, doing ~400mW -- it's a sight to behold, but don't expect single mode TEM00.

That said, you turn it on... "it's a helluva drug".
