Hello folks!

In my pursuit of DPSS wavelengths, I've now come across 671nm as the next color in my sights. I've messaged Lasever and been quoted the following prices for a 671nm cylindrical module:
100mW - $350
200mW - $400
300mW - $480

However, I'd prefer to purchase a 671nm portable from a forum member, simply because of the lower cost and the ease of making the purchase.

So if anyone here has a 671nm and would like to get rid of it, please send me a PM.

Thanks!

673nm

Melles Griot 9167-01008 Laser Pumping Module w/ S-67-500C-100 =NOS= | eBay

This is a new old stock Melles Griot model 9167-01008 laser diode pumping module which includes the anamorphic prism assembly.

The diode is housed in a modified T0-3 gold plated case. For shipping, the leads have been shorted to prevent damage.

Using the very popular S-67-500C Laser, the output power is 1/2 watt at the peak emission wavelength of 673.80 nm! We rarely find such a gorgeous component in an unused state. We are starting this at 1/3 of the price of the prism assembly alone.

Very interesting, Alaskan! How would you power such a unit?

You would need to get your own laser diode driver, according to the seller there are also wires coming out for some kind of power output monitor built into the diode itself. I am guessing you could drive it with one of our normal laser diode divers and ignore that, it is only used if your laser diode driver has a feed back loop built into it to keep the power output constant.

As Im sure you know Sta, there is no reason to buy 671nm simply for the color. It'll basically look just like your 650nm pointer but dimmer, and more dark red.

:)

Thank you Hap! I do know this - I am looking for a 671 because of its beam quality. I'd also love to make a rainbow out of only DPSS!

You may Have to go Non portable AFAIK there aren't to many. Honestly your best bet would be one of those lasever modules.

mmhm. I have a CNI one I custom rebuilt. Its a great color, but if you're only looking for the wavelength I have stabilized diode builds that are far cheaper-but they're only like 20mW or so. DPSS ones are far more expensive and not common.

I'd like to build a 561nm laser but I need YAG line and OC mirrors to do so. Have some small 1 to 2 mJ YAG's which would work well if I could find the mirrors, already have the LBO crystal and YAG's. I am interested in mirrors for other yellow wavelengths too, if anyone sees 1123, 1319 or 1342nm YAG mirrors, please let me know.
