Well, my HP crapped out on me, so I want to recover the data on it. Does anyone have a 2.5 in to 3.5 in hard drive adaptor in the usa? Thanks!

Why don't you just buy an enclosure? I have a 2.5 usb enclosure and it works great. I got one for my 3.5 tera sata too. Not expensive at all.

I'm not really going to use it much, just to grab the data off. Then I'm going to ebay the piece of crap :O

I agree with crazyjay. It's probably cheaper just to grab an enclosure online somewhere. You can find one for around $10 on Amazon.

I have the one below that I started using once the laptop died. You just need to order the one that corresponds to your hard drive. i.e. sata or ide

Newegg.com - Rosewill RX81U-ES-25B 2.5" IDE to USB 2.0 External Enclosure - External Enclosures
Newegg.com - Rosewill RX81U-ES-25A 2.5" SATA to USB 2.0 External Enclosure - External Enclosures

edit: I should have mentioned that if you are looking at selling it later you will get more for your money if it is an external "portable" hard drive anyway.

Or you may just fall in love with a mass storage pocket drive that allows you to carry a boatload of data in a small package.

oh, my laptop broke down; the motherboard fried. I'll just get an external drive then, how can I tell if it's IDE or SATA?
