You must have a few of these thrown into the back of the drawer . . .unwanted, . . . . . lonely . . . . dejected. :'(

I won't pay full PHR-803T price, but you can make some cash back on this unloved soldier. :(

I want to do some work with this "lower powered" diode.

Peace,
dave

dave ill have to look but i think ive got 2 around here somewhere.

edit: found 'em 15$ ok shipped? i paid 25 each + shipping for 3 broken xbox hd-dvd drives and only 1 had a phr diode in it. these have alreay been stripped of the pcb but still have the heatsink on them. never hooked up to any power just been sitting in an esd bag along with 2 ps3 br diodes.

Yeah.  That's how I got my first ones too (and that heat sink is a pain in the a**, ain't it?)

Deal

PM on the way

Peace,
dave

I should have 1 installed in aixiz head. PM me if you still need it.

Re: WTB:  DT-0811 Sleds and/or Diodes

So that's it?  I would have sworn that there were more of these laying around from when we were all buying up the old XBOX 360 HD DVD Add-On players.  Maybe I won't get to do the work I wanted to.

Check the bottom of your electronics drawer? There might be one there ;)

Peace,
dave

I have 1 sled, and 1 diode still in its heat sink. PM me if your interested.

I have one in my hot little hands :P

Re: WTB:  DT-0811 Sleds and/or Diodes

Dave -- I have 2 of the old DDL GB bluray sleds. Is this what you're looking for?

IIRC those are the KES  sleds (for the PS3), aren't they?  IF my memory is correct then, no.  Those are not the DT-0811 sleds/diodes.  The DT-0811 sleds are the "other" (lower powered) sled that came in the newer XBOX 360 HD DVD add-on units.  When we were all buying up the XBOX 360 units, this sled (the DT-0811) was the one we DIDN'T want to get.  There was some work done with the diode, but everybody was, and is, focused on the PHR-803T sleds.  The early work showed these DT-0811 diodes could only be driven up to about 140mA.

I thought that there were more of these "unwanted" sleds received than apparently there was.  Either that or people were throwing them away OR one of the reasons that people were limiting the current on the blu-rays so severely was that people were trying to run these at the same currents that the PHR diode could be run.  That might explain why soooooo many diodes were "burnt out" at lower currents earlier on in this great experiment ;)

Peace,
dave

BUMP

for good measure and my want for the test results of these diodes!
