World's First Direct Diode 476nm Laser Pointer! **Video Added!!**

Re: World's First Direct Diode 476nm Laser Pointer!

HAHA! When I win the Lotto I will have some SICK diodes made specifically for us. 476nm, 488nm, 505nm, 589nm, and 612nm, yup. We would be rocking a full rainbow of 1W TO-18 diodes for sure. You guys can hold me to that when I win BTW

1W single mode 480nm? :san:

"Just" 1W? moar powah. :eg:

edit: while you're at it, why not have a diode case that directly accepts a M9x0.5 lens. No more messing around with modules or diode presses. ha!

That's asking a lot of a SM diode. At least my request is still "humanly possible" to build with the current diode materials ;)

We are damn lucky to have single mode 405nm diodes capable of 1W (at best) and that's with insane amounts of R&D.

That we are... Hah but I bet winning a few million in the lottery would still make it a "possible" dream ;)

Eh. I'd be more than happy with any class IV 480nm.

I've seen a lot of cool things recently. This has led me to believe anything is possible, ha.

Pays to have connections I guess.

Do you have a DPSS 473nm laser you could compare wavelength to visibly? Can you see the green shift that the 3nm makes? It isn't much but we can see differences between 589 and 593 right?

EDIT: although I believe my Argon makes a 476 line I could test myself...
