I was going by Jerry's numbers. I guess he'll have to chime in and tell us where he got those figures.

Still, and extra $100 is an extra $100. I'm happy they stepped up, but at the cost of the customers. Its nothing noble.

I'm still trying to figure out why you're flying the WL flag so high. Its a Chinese laser company. Why do you care enough to fight tooth and nail on its defense? It borders spam. You're totally acting like a pitch man. I think Lazerer is a top notch company, and I know Max is stand up, but you dont see me putting the effort you do into letting people know. Or putting in the time you do to get people to buy from them. I still dont get it. If you're not getting anything out of all your effort, then you're soft. You're actions dont justify the ends in either case. Its just a laser company. There are better causes you could be putting that energy into.

I'm not promoting WL or pitching their products to anyone. I happen to like their products and I've felt that way for years. I'm not jealous at how well they have done as a business nor spitefull at the fact they make a lot of money. Good for them. What I am doing is defending my opinion when people bash them and direct their negativity specifically toward me. I'm not starting threads promoting WL. I'm not getting anything out of it. If speaking my opinion makes me soft what does that make you? Squishy? LOL. You've now turned your WL bashing into Yobresal bashing. It's time for you to peel yourself off the chair, step away from your computer, and focus your efforts on something productive. Jerry and TJ have nothing to add to these reviews... their sole purpose is to start flame wars or troll people so that Dave can come in and lock the thread. Then this review, with all the other WL reviews, will just slip to the bottom of the forum never to be read again (or added to).

You've been here long enough why not try and build a laser, machine a heatsink, anodize something do anything.

1. I have nerve damage which will not allow me to solder small parts.
2. I dont own, or can afford a lathe.
3. There is no area for me to work with the chemicals to anodize.
4. I dont really like pointers. I've said this many times. I do like to incorporate lasers into art. But I dont post designs because i dont want to get them ripped off.
5. I do shit all the time, I just dont talk about all of it here. I'm more creative/talented than most of you. Building lasers doesnt define me being a man or not. I can draw, create, build, a lot of crap you couldnt dream off. Does it make you less of a man because you cant? No.

I help in other ways. Ways that are not publicly broadcasted, because I dont need, nor want a pat on the back. I've proved my worth here literally hundreds of times. Once again I'm not here to impress anyone, nor make everyone my friend. You either except me, or you dont. Either way is good.

Where's the $1399 price tag and 45% come from? It says $999.95 on WL website for the 750 - 1000mw.

150-300 $299.95
250-500 $499.95
500-750 $799.95
750-1000 $999.95

I got those numbers in my post from this post....

They now have re-classified their offerings on the Krypton;

300mW $299.95 500mW $399.95 750mW $899.95 1000mW $1399.95

Wow, just checked out their site, the new pricing really eliminates much of what many people have been whining about. The biggest issue brought up here was an advertised 1W that could be anywhere from 500-1000mW. They have now cut that range in half. They have the 500-750mW category and the 750-1000mW category. Further binning just like we wanted. That's awesome. Where else can you get a 750-1000mW awesome green laser for $999? No where that's where. They also added a category 150-300mW. The issue I see there is that it overlaps with the 250-500mW category. Th latter category shold be (and most likely was intended to be) changed to 300-500mW. I am guessing this was an oversight by the person editing the data on the website. The only issue I had before was the huge range of powers in each Krypton model. Now thy have improved that greatly. Way to go Wicked! +1. Anyone who is not a close mided asshole should be able to recognize this as a vast improvement.

I just don't get why people keep going back to WL time after time... the company makes a huge blunder, screws people over, than appears to change their ways for a bit, and then does it again. One step forward, two steps back. (Of course with WL it's more like three steps back, one forward:shhh

That hurts a little. I hoped we could continue on discussing our separate opinions of WL and the Krypton without losing respect for eachother. While I disagree with your strong stance against WL specifically the Krypton series, I still have a great deal of respect for you as a person and a member of this forum. I use your meters nearly every day and appreciate all you bring to the forum. In turn I would expect you not to lose site of all that I bring to the forum just because I recognize an improvement in WL and expect others to as well. Something I said about the improvements in WL must be accurate since you and tech both decided to let your discussion switch to bashing me. I am not a paid WL rep and we all know this so telling me that I am and telling me you've lost respect for me can only be interpreted as an insult. I don't appreciate your behavior and you should reconsider the direction you are taking this conversation. I expect this sort of bashing from Tech but I hold you to a different standard. Don't let yourself and those who respect you down by attacking a person like me who's done nothing to deserve it.

They cut the specs in half! 50% is a huge percentage. This is a huge improvement from what they offered before. Sure you can return it, but keep in mind that 2lb package shipped from USA to Hong Kong is 40 USD for USPS Priority Mail + insurance.
