The host contains a copper and brass module, an M-140 diode, a high-efficiency Blitz-buck driver, either the 405-G-1 lens or a 3-element lens (your choice), and a fiber optic activation indicator.

Output power is about 1.3W with 3-element glass lens, and exceeds 1.5W with 405-G-1 lens.
Divergence with the G-1 is greater but the beam has much less splash.

For those who have doubts about duty cycle, the host is quite substantial and 2 minutes continuous is no problem, though a momentary laser like this will likely never need to be on for much longer than a few seconds at a time.

Here is the thread that contains detailed info, additional images, and a video on the construction of this laser:
http://laserpointerforums.com/f51/laser-pointer-fiber-optics-tutorial-video-86076.html

What you get:
  • the laser
  • 4 quality 14500 LiIon batteries (brand new)
  • 1 black aperture cap, 3 chrome (in case you don't like the gold one)
  • the stock laser module from the E2 (30-50mW 532nm)
  • 1 nylon holster

There is one quirk that I should mention. For some reason, during construction of the laser I noticed that after the switch was installed, the laser has a half-second delay from pressing the button and activation. This effect remained with all 3 switches that I tested so there must be some interaction between the driver and switch that is causing this. A video is attached below. I do think it is a very minor inconvenience and after some use, it's easy to forget about it.

Ahhh too bad that it's shipped US only :(

I have a Original E2 445nm rated 5mW doing 10mW

Would have liked one with a bit more punch.

Ohh well, free bump i guess :D

Good luck with the sell.

Sm.

I'm curious as to why you included 4 14500 batteries. Does the host fit 2 14500s perfectly? Just wondering because I'm about to start my E2 build. Also you mind linking to the battery source? Thanks!

If you own only two then you are SOL when they are charging. Own four or more and you can lase all day. That's why I own 9 16340s and like 25 18650!

Yes, 14500s are close to the same size as AAs. They fit perfectly.
I got mine from BatteryJunction.com. All four cost me about $18 after shipping.
:)
