dear members,

please understand this move to vbulletin was necessary to handle the amount of data and processing for LPF. the flatfile system of YaBB was something we needed to move away from

i know change is not easy, but i am dedicated to making vbulletin work for you

vbulletin is the most popular forum software with excellent features, a search feature that is excellent, and good attachments options

please stick with me thru this move, i am willing to whatever it takes to help improve the forum

yours

I think it's awesome! We just have to get used to it...

The ability to find threads and posts is amazing. Just looking at member's profile and statistics to find any thread they started!

I'm sure everyone will get used to it. For those who have a facebook, when they changed the theme everyone HATED it, but now I'm sure everyone is used to it. The same will happen with this forum as it does for any other change in life.

Looks like the old Spectra Forums - I though I had clicked on that book mark by mistake! But I do prefer a dark background - I didn't like the last look of the old board with a light background.

I really like that we moved to vBulletin. It is by far a better forum software.

I think it is important that people realize that the issues surrounding the styling, etc. are not related to vBulletin itself. vB offers a ton of really cool features, like allowing you to see all the posts since your last visit.

Much more "standard" than YaBB. I had the feeling that every time I used the search function there (searching "all posts"), the forum went into maintenance mode afterwards :)

the vbulletin search function really is amazing yeah heh

now the site can operate a lot faster. searching flatfile systems like yabb is inherenly slow
