Why ebay laser are so cheap?

Someone pointed that they bought a 100mw 405nm laser for $4.

In other postings, I saw that the same laser by US company can go up to $50-$60. Do it mean are these company earning >90% gross profit just because they label it correct

Ebay lasers are mostly pen lasers which are mass produced and not of very good quality, other lasers are not as mass produced so they cost more. Its like asking why gold cost's more than shiny rocks it's because theirs a lot less gold than shiny rocks even if the shiny rocks may be bigger and shinier. Gold still has the effect of being unreactive so it will last ∞ longer than shiny rocks. Ebay lasers will last a few months or years if your lucky, whereas more expensive lasers CNI etc will last 10+ years or a lifetime if you treat them well.

hmmm not 100% true.

If you are into torchlight, you would know that there are 2 forum, CPF and BLF. In the past I went CPF as I thought China made things are not good. Now once I got my hand on a light called skyrayking recommended in BLF, I realised this is a light which is much much value for money than any light in CPF.

As how much each will be overspec- your will not be exactly the same- maybe even better. For 3$usd- you cannot lose unless you get a bad one and even then most likely you will get a free replacement by just asking ( no need to send back any bad ones)

Just from memory... the Gs were 40 to 60 mW- the 405 pens were much higher-like 80 to 100 mW and the reds impressed me at 90 to 110 mW=- you dont need high cost handhelds and a smoke machines to get interesting photos- as we see here 9$ worth of pens and mother natures fog machine works well.......

Just remember to work fast as ,of course, there is no real HSing in these- keep the run cycle down to 3 or 4 min if you can.

I have the Amazon 3-pack as well, and they've been meh for me, but I don't have an LPM so I can't measure their powers.

I can see the green beam at night but can't feel its warmth on my skin.
For the red and the violet I can feel their warmth when I point them at my philtrum, just learned that body part today.

Wasn't able to burn holes in black plastic so I wasn't too impressed.

one of the funniest ( and also kinda scary) was a post from a newcomer saying that he could not feel his laser on his hand-or arm much and only a very little on his LIP!!!

personally I would not try that test- and besides ....finding a thermometer is not all that hard and is much more sensitive.

I am unboxing a Laserbee II atm for a round of tests and graphs then its off to JETLASER Gray in China....so from then on all JLs will come with a nice graph--
