1963 here! I started dabbling in lasers in 1974!!!

I still remember CORE MEMORY!

My first electronics projects had VACUUM TUBES in them.

Now, I make surface mount device boards (well I will again in a week or so), and I play with real burning lasers as toys, and have a phone with a screen in it that makes Star Trek tricorders look lame, and I'm surrounded by laptops and monitors.

I am living my 10 year old self's sci-fi fantasies!

How does this stuff happen so fast??? I can still smell the smell of tubes warming in the chassis!
