Whats your groove?

THATS what im talking about!

Did a quick LPM test on mine and i was stunned....... 2.65W with what i was told was a 3 element lens  Im going to test that with what i know is a G2 and a 9mm lens to see if it really is a 3 element or if I got a nice bonus with my purchase :D (advertised as a 2W w/ 3 element)

i bought one of moh's gitd grooves before his sell off. at first i had a microboost installed set at about 750mA. i had problems with the driver overheating even at this current. my output was over a watt tho telling me i had scored a pretty good diode. i was digging through my laser stuff and found an x-drive a few days ago. it was putting out 1.6A so i decided to put it into my groove. it's doing 2.15W now with a 3 element lens and i'm happy. here's a couple of my pics. i'm photographic challenged if you can't tell.

i had a smooth 2 years ago and killed 2 12x 405 diodes trying to build into it. figured it was telling me something. so i auctioned it off here and donated the proceeds to the forum. daguin wound up with it.

Nice diode. Mine is doing 2.6W with god knows what Dave put in it. 3 element lens too!!!! I want to throw the G2 or 9mm lens on it but i just had surgery and cant get the dang adapter off the lens with my surgery arm so ill just have to wait.....could be 6 more weeks since i need to go back under :(

I think offroadfreak did do a multiple color GITD on that one

Hey gismo! Awesome pics! Yeah that was one with both blue and cyan GITD. And a nice 3W beam offcourse

In real life the cyan looks bluish instead of green. I also have actual green GITD which is super bright!

Greetings,,

As stated by others above, blue and cyan they were, indeed:). The way the DSLR captured the mirror reflected groove line gives an impression of about 500nm usage:D.

Another through-the-glass GITD Kryton look (taken weeks and weeks back when product reviewed).
