What watch are you wearing?

Wtf? how does that work? They must have pushed everything to the sides, but how do they actuate the dials?

Edit: there are multiple sapphire disks, each turned by a stepper motor at the edge. Pretty simple, except for cramming all that stuff in there!

Jeez pullbangdead, you got some fancy bling!

Thanks. I appreciate fine engineering.

It's sometimes tough to switch between them though; the Citizen is amazingly light, since it's titanium, but the Movado is amazingly heavy. Se la vie.

Yes I did say at the bottom of my post that the internals were transparent sapphires :p
I wonder how much they cost
Probably over $10k
Damn Swiss and their awesomeness :p

That doesn't look like it would cost less than a grand!

I haven't worn a watch in a long time. That has to do with the job I had though. I do own a couple though.

^yeah, but they don't have sapphire resonators, semiconductors or motors. So it's not really sapphire internals, just gears.

I was in vegas and I saw a diamond-studded gold rolex for like $830,000. It blew me away that anyone had that much for a watch. Even for a billionaire, that's a significant portion of what you own!

I don't wear watches. I used to have a pocket watch, and would like another, but can't really see it surviving some of my activities. I would probably get an Armitron for my next watch, steel band. They're awesome skeleton watches.

^That one in particular is my favorite.

Pocket watches are GENIUS! I wish to get one, along with a top hat and a monocle, suit, and cane :D LOL

Bah, watches with inbuilt MP3 players, cameras, PDA etc are so 90's.

How about a watch with inbuilt laster pointer? :can:

^^^ Is nice.

If I find a nice pocket watch, that might be my next watch. There's just something about them.

a ripcurl surf watch
(cos i surf) its second hand is a little surfer that goes in and around :p

I'm still wearing the same watch I had when I used to be able to SCUBA DIVE. It's a SEIKO DIVERS CHRONOGRAPH.
