what do you drive???

Those are nice and I would like to have one. I am looking at something more economical. I'm tired of giving my money to stupid gas companies that don't do @#%^ with that money. I wouldn't mind if they actually tried to find a better way to fuel vehicles. They don't though because they are greedy SOBs. They keep talking about record profits. No f'ing DUH.

Especially here in Canada, because the laws stipulated that your bodywork had to cover your tires, so you had to build up massive rear fenders to cover 12" wide slicks, which just made it look even meaner. (My first experience with fibreglass if I remember correctly... :))

Now, all the activities I engage in require a somewhat more practical vehicle... a Nissan XTerra SE (Supercharged, natch). It gets me to the ski hills, bike and adventure races and into the gnarly canoe access roads in the back-country. It's not too environmentally friendly, so I only drive it when we go adventurin'. My wife drops me at work in her VW New Beetle sometimes, but I ride my bike to work most days, weather permitting. My company is big into green, so I help set an example. :D

I completely had to redo the floorpan in fiberglass of my friends cuda when i was about 17. Cool car but one hell of a rustbucket.

My 3rd: 1991 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo w/ intake, ehust, (350+hp)

My 5th: 1992 Civic VX Hatchback 5 speed (+300,000 miles!)

ATM we got a Toyota Tarago, we are selling that off and getting an RX8.. Cant wait! In the end i wish to own a Porsche Cayman or a 911(977) turbo or maybe even the new Skyline GTR 2008 :p

I drive a 1993 Mitsubishi Colt. 1.3 liter engine, 75 HP. No extras, not even power steering. It won't go very fast, but besides a dead battery it never failed on me in 5 years. The roof is a little rusty though. I'll probably get another car in the next few months, a Volkswagen Golf is on my list.

You don't ride a bicycle like most people do in the Netherlands? I was in the Amsterdam area for a couple days while I was still in Germany. You have to very careful with all the bicycles. If you aren't about to run over them, they are about to run over you. My mom was visiting me and we were going to drive my truck around. Some drunk hit my truck while I was at home sleeping. His insurance paid for a nice small vehicle for about 6 weeks. I think there were only 2 good things about it. It was small and got great gas mileage. It was a 3 cylinder VW Polo. :D The fastest it could go was about 155 km/h. The motor was redlined at 5000 rpm at that speed. :eek:

I have a 1990 Thunderbird SC 35th anniversary with the following:

Eaton supercharger @ 16psi
Ported/welded heads with bigger valves
42lb/hr injectors
225lph fuel pump
full exhaust
3.73 gears
engine is fully rebuilt with forged pistons/rods/crank bored .030 over
ZEX Nitrous kit, 125hp jets
UUUmmm.... a bunch of other stuff that I cant remember.


AND

1990 Eagle Talon TSi AWD with:
Turbo back exhaust
APEXI safc
ported 14b turbo @ 18psi (with manual boost controller)
225lph fuel pump
Some sort of aftermarket cams... not sure on brand as they were on the car when I got it. Sounds bitchin at idle though :D (these were the only upgrades I didn't install myself)
ACT clutch
Again... probably more... I cant keep track.

Hehe well sure I ride a bicycle too. As for being careful with all the bicycles: they don't bother me much, I guess because I'm used to them. The only thing that's dangerous is bicycles at night without a working head and/or taillight.

The VW Polo is a nice car too, but a little too small for me. ;)
