I have a 1990 Thunderbird SC 35th anniversary with the following:

Eaton supercharger @ 16psi
Ported/welded heads with bigger valves
42lb/hr injectors
225lph fuel pump
full exhaust
3.73 gears
engine is fully rebuilt with forged pistons/rods/crank bored .030 over
ZEX Nitrous kit, 125hp jets
UUUmmm.... a bunch of other stuff that I cant remember.

I'm really digging that bird.
Yea its a pretty fun car. Has to have premium and gets like 12 miles to the gallon though ;D

The only problem is that its heavy as hell. About 4100lbs. So it runs in the 12's in the 1/4, but I cant help but imagine what the motor could do in a smaller car...

you even have "weekend" cars?

we just have 1 or 2 affordable cars that we can drive (slowly due to massive traffic) with low fuel because it is really expensive (and there is a shortage of petrol also)

That is one amazing weekend car.

Me... I drive an '06 Tacoma.  :P

well your tacoma is a lot newer than both of my cars :) and the weekend car gets used rarely on weekends cuz i can't afford the gas need to convert it to methane :)

There are some guys who do top end swaps onto 94-98 3.8 Mustangs, and a few who do longblock swaps. They run very well, a stock SC motor will make a v6 Stang run like a stock Cobra of similar vintage. Makes me wonder why Ford never offered it, it woulda sold like hotcakes; cheaper and faster than the 2v 4.6 offered in the mid 90's.

The worst part is that the very first few SC's built were putting out very good numbers. Like around 300hp. Then, ford choked out various systems on the car so it wouldn't be faster than the mustangs of the same year. They both ended up at about 210-220hp. The exhaust is pinched, throttle body is tiny, intercooler piping gets choked at points. Its amazing how much the car comes alive just by removing the bottlenecks that ford added.

I just did a complete exhaust system overhaul on my truck. I talked to the dealer about factory manifolds. They were about $400 per side for cast iron pieces of crap. I went out and bought some stainless steel headers for a little over $400 a pair. They flow a lot better, look better and they cost a lot less. I looked inside the factory manifols after they were removed. I couldn't believe how much they restricted the exhaust.

Nice. 400hp, that area?
I'm thinking a lot more than 400hp. The front drivers side tire is off the ground.

Then again, it is in the 400hp area. This is what is says in the link:

430.2 RWHP & 391.9 RWTQ
