Haha, I thought Canon was way ahead of Nikon when you said 8-15 1.4. :na:

If there were such lens, I would definitely switch over to Canon. :eg:

Cheers!

You bought the legendary 1DX!!
Congratulations!
14fps certainly helps while shooting football. :D

Cheers!

Actually - that 14fps is with mirror lockup. So, it's great for remotes, but not good for anything you need AF for. Still very useful though!

12fps with full AF tracking... now THAT is fantastic. :D

Haha, I can see a Nikon Canon flame war starting. jk.

I feel like there hasn't been an approachable entry level DSLR from either Nikon or Canon. Their form factor is so small that the grip is terrible.

I think the Canon 650D aka T4i has been a good attempt to be more useful with its touch screen.

The T3 (1100D) is about as simple or "approachable" as they come. I would not, however, consider the T4i an entry level unit. They are a bit more advanced and IMO the base units are far more for the beginners. (T1, T2, T3) And to be honest, the touch screen on it seems like more of a gimmick than anything else. Quite frankly it would annoy the hell out of me, especially if it was one of the plastic ones like seen on cheap touch screen devices / phones.

Tomorrow I hope to buy a fisheye lens camera. It's on sale for $15.00, and has a Japanese-made fish eye lens, plus a long exposure feature (I know next to nothing about cameras/photogrpahy, so this will be a learning experience). The store had three left last Thursday....crossing fingers it's still available.

Wow, only $15? That's a pretty nice deal!
Curious what that camera is; would love to have one too. (not to compete you you :na:)

Love fish eye lenses for their ultra creative look. :D

Congrats on your new phone!

Sorry I didn't have Olympus as one of the choices. :yabbem:
Wish I didn't have the 10 choice limit.

Cheers!

Got it! There was only one left. The box looks like it had been opened (the manual better not be missing!) Otherwise the camera itself looks to be brand new. The packaging says "Fisheye2", by Lomographic Society International. Lomography must be a fancy term for wide angle lens?

Congratulations on your new camera!

Lomography is a camera company that builds really cheap (offence intended) gear but produce vivid and artistic photos.
Some even take advantage of the leaking light to create beautiful pieces of art.

Wow, just checked the price on Amazon, and you got a really great deal! A new one retails from $60!

Again, congrats on your new camera. Hope you have fun with it!

Cheers!

Right now I just have my HTC Desire smartphone. :( I used to have a Canon Powershot A570, but it broke and I couldn't fix it. :(
