Nobody can honestly say that he ripped off dave. While what he did was not very nice, I dont think it was intentional, a perment ban may be a bit harsh. Am I wrong for thinking this?  He is a kid after all, and at least he has everyone here to rip on him and help correct his confused ways. It would even make for an interesting social experiment.

Perma ban is pretty harsh.

But the problem is we don't have mods to control him. If there were mods, he could be kept under control. But since there aren't any... well, not anything more we can do other than just kick him off.

Perma ban is fine. No one wants to see his ass around here anymore.
 
If this was one of my forums I'd give him a 2 week ban.

A perma ban should only be reserved for someone going around and intentionally wrecking things. For example, an advertising spammer. Or a deliberate flamer who jacks threads.

Wes didn't intentionally go and wreck forum life. You may disagree, but it's true, he stuck to his own little threads and didn't cause much of a problem beyond that. Only 3-4 threads in grand total were messed up by him, and they were made by him too, so it wasn't a thread jack and isn't a major problem on wider forum life.

Just his attitude and methodologies clashed with other peoples and it resulted in large arguments and problems in those specific threads he made. Ban material, but not perma ban material.



I've dealt with countless individuals like wes on my own forums, it isn't uncommon. As long as you keep an eye on them and step in well before things get out of control then they can exist peacefully in forum life.

Though, an issue here is that there is no mods to do that. In a moderated forum, if you follow those guidelines people like wes can easily be managed and kept under control. But as these forums have no moderators, that isn't possible. Thus the only real option is a perma ban, but normally it shouldn't come to that.

Ya, but this is just one of those cases. Plus, he made his own forum, and i told him how much he sucked, and then he replied and said how he hates LPF and all the members act stupid.

Yeah, it's a shame we don't have any mods... this isn't a perma ban case, he just needs to be kept on a tight leash... but no mods, so ban is the only option :(

Mods stop flame threads like that getting out of control. And because they are stopped early, there isn't the bitterness and hate that comes from it. That's why mods are an integral part of the forum community, not just to move threads and delete spam, but to keep us from getting to a point where we are ready to organise an international fist fight.

But since things DID get out of control, we've created a monster. I pity the forums where he takes residence on next :(

I think that's for the best really. He can rant around and be king of his own little realm, while not bothering the rest of the world :)

Honestly, he is the definition of idiocy.
He's ignorant, rude, selfish, egotistical, and has less common sense than a 1-year-old, and about the same maturity level.
I mean come on, there are plenty other members on here his age, even some younger, and they are mature enough to the point were I can't tell the difference between them and the adults unless I check their profile.
Well, at least I have his myspace and such ;D.
I vote for shipping a crate of live bobcats to his house...
 
I vote we clone Dave, put him in a crate, and ship him over , and you can't go wrong with two Daves !
