We're all going to die!!!

I am starting a cult as of right now. It's all based on that newscast. You're all welcome to join if you wish. They'll probably be lots of booze and promiscuity. Togas are going to be the cult uniform, although Star Trek uniforms will work in lieu of a toga to honor our space-faring asteroid god... And only the original series uniforms... not those dumb Next Generation uniforms... It's BYOB, but all must bring a mandatory sacrificial carne asada burrito in order to pass through the gates and prove your worth.

Now go my children. Spread the good word.

I'll join, but only if we get to commit suicide in the end.

GUYS THE METEOR HIT.

It's so bright... the air got really hot and I could swear the trees are on fire. I think the dog next door is too...

I heard a loud explosion outside and looked and the sky was so red. It was so scary to see.

Someone, please, read this message and tell my girlfriend I love her.

I'm too young to die. :yabbem:

Then again, we're all too young to die.

I could die with little regret. I chose my occupation to validate my own existence.

For me, at some point I stopped caring about dying.

I mean don't get me wrong, I am afraid of pain, suffering, being/getting sick, stuff like that... but actually dying... I'm kind of curious what happens.

Que sera, sera

Watched enough to get the name so I could wikipedia it.

2012 DA14 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sigh, media hype.

Trevor

hehe, I love the media :undecided:

There is estimated to be a cumulative 0.021% chance (1 in 4,760) of 2012 DA14 impacting Earth sometime between 2020 and 2057.[1] (As of March 6, 2012, the odds of impact on 2020-Feb-16 are 1 in 83,000.)[1]
It is rated a low −3.29 on the Palermo Scale.[5] (The risk is less than one thousandth of the estimated risk of another similarly sized near earth asteroid hitting the Earth during that time period.[6] It is estimated that there are more than a million near-Earth asteroids smaller than 100 meters.)[7]
It rates 0 (No Hazard) on the Torino scale.[1]

Well if the earth is destoyed by a celestrial body, the universe won't miss us.

Be confusing for any interstellar travellers who come across the moon with footprints and flags on it..and no inhabited worlds nearby, if the earth was oblitorated

I bet if we deflect it, then it bashes into the moon, throwing it in a collision course with the Earth.
