WARNING- See if you will ever buy an Ultrafire after seeing this.....

Most are marked 600-700 but really are in the 550-600 range. Xtar 600mAh are normally 550mAh and those are good cells

Well then that's just stupid. I might as well stick some wires in a potato and use that as a battery rather than spend 20$ on a bunch of lackluster batteries.

Yeah there really isnt a need for high capacity 16340s so no one has put much effort into it. I do foresee that in the near future there will be higher capacity 16340s due to the recent explosion of those dumb vapor/e-cig craps

Good point, if you compare Li-Ion to Li-Ion then you'd be looking at 14500 which are around 700mAh

AA=14500
AAA=10440

Hahaha this whole exposure might boost your sales Larry ;) but it wouldn't be a bad thing since people would have quality cells!

I only own Pannys and Sanyo for 18650s. Have a nice MKNE 26650 and getting a few King Kongs. All my 16340s are AW or Efest IMR. Oh crap I just remembered I have some crapfires in 10440........need to get some Efest 10440s!!!!

I know I'm a few days late to the conversation, but I love my efest 10440's

What about the UltraFire 16340 880mAh batteries? Are those garbage too? I have a pack of 4 rechargeable ones and I hate to just throw them away, but I don't want anything exploding on me :undecided:

Afaik, this random cell crap is only with 18650s. I have a few sets of ultrafire 16340s that i store FAR away from everything just in case but I dont use them ever. I use the Efest 16340 & 10440, Sanyo 14500, MNKE 26650, King Kong 26650, Sanyo & Panny 18650.

I dont think the 16340s suffer from this lack in quality, still not the best quality due to the brand, but afaik the 16340 are a less "wanted" size so they are scamming people on the highest demand cells; 18650s

I've got a few ultrafire "880mAh" 16340s and they tested from 550-600mAh so they're not totally useless.

I have an ultrafire from when i started the hobby that has the plastic taken off, so it is useless. I will take it apart tonight and see what i find :p

I hope it doesnt explode on me :evil:

When the wrapping falls off they are not useless, re-wrap it. I have a bunch of Sanyo 18650's that are laptop pulls. The wrapping gets slightly wrecked in the process so I just ripped it all off and reshrinkwrapped them

if somebody could point me to a site with all the REAL DEAL cells it would be much appreciated. i have a ultrafire 14500s or something of the sort and although ive never had problems this scares me...
