Maybe you should ask for a 445nm diode unpressed WITH a module. That way, if you later change your mind, you don't have to wait for another housing.

Here are the pics!!

The beam shot is with NO fog, just normal dusty air. I got the laser in the shot so you know its this laser creating the beam.

Also a Laserbee reading showing ~90mw. This is on a 100% charged battery. I will say its 80+mw (80mw minimum on fairly dead battery)

No, no filter. However, there is maybe only 10% coming from IR (doesnt really matter all that much).

The module is from one of THESE Same as the DX/Olike 200mw module, however this one only does 80-90mw. So I used the host it came from in a 445nm build for a friend. It has a custom lens holder to fit this host. The lens is acrylic. It is focusable if you remove the head section. The module is held in place by a threaded ring, so its easy to disassemble if needed.

Ha, yea, reminds me of my first HeNe build about 20 years ago. Built with PVC to look like a pistol. Much like the plans that Info Unlimited sells. Thats where I stole the idea from anyway!!
