Does the woman come with the drone or is she an option?

Definitely an option, and an expensive option at that!

@Red, those speeds are insane for both the drone, and the turbine jet models, 145mph for the drone, and 460mph (741 kph) for that jet!
I sure wish they had this technology when I was younger, although I'm sure I'd be constantly broke. :)

@Alaskan, those some fantasticly sharp images of the moon, very cool!

I have just seen what I believe how NOT to use lasers! please tell me if I have errored.

this is what you get when you put Encap's video together with RedCowboy's video! what a time we live in!

Yea those hills are steeper than they look, I love it when they slap that 2 speed power glide into reverse to outrun gravity as they are about to flip over and save it, but we are talking about real AWD with lockers and the 4 wheel steering helps too, I just love the way this guy made 4 wheel independent suspension work plus the mid engine is a cool set up, and it really worked, so many times I dream about using a real Humvee drive train.

Here's a Russian vehicle that floats and is hard to stop, actually I haven't seen one get stuck yet.

Nelson Racing Engines gets 2000 hp out of the LS and they do cool stuff like having a second gas tank full of racing high octane fuel for a second set of injectors when boost goes up into the double digits, and they idle around town like daily drivers, but yea the LS with 6 bolt mains and all the race inspired tweaks are the new go to engines, electronic engine management has made forced induction capable of so much more now that pre ignition is no longer an issue.

He has a lot of cool videos here: >>>>> https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHYi8icg8EC6DvMJD5OcTOg
Bumping this old post as far as the mentioning of the Chevy's LS motors.
Watching the Velocity Channels "how its made" which featured the Corvette plant.
I'm so far behind the times that its the first iv'e heard of the use of "fractured connecting rods" where instead of cutting they deliberately break the rods at the crank journal so the the rod caps seat perfect at the fracture points.

Reactions: GSS
Y.K. Bae Corporation announced their proprietary Photonic Laser Thruster (PLT) has successfully accelerated a 450 gram (~1 lb.) spacecraft simulator with pure laser light for the first time in history.

Very interesting video, I remember watching this before. Thanks for sharing. I am personally very interested in laser propulsion. I believe it could become humanities first method of interstellar travel if harnessed correctly.

Ion engines or direct energy engines would be good for moving around in the vacuum of space at " impulse " power but even if we could accelerate at 1G up to 75% the speed of light it would take years just to get to our nearest neighbor star Alpha Centauri which is actually 3 stars, A,B, and AB, but still our closest neighbor star is 4.37 light years away from our sun, so we are going to have to warp the fabric of space time and zip through it because we are a very long way from anything except our solar system's planets.

Direct energy propulsion is only a small part of the many problems that we must overcome to really go anywhere because of the vast distance we are from stars and planets outside our solar system. But it's a start. :)

Just saw this Video ob Sub-Surface Laser Engraving
and found it quite interesting..
Seems the $22K machine pictured uses a Laser Diode...

Si Pero No by Alex Cuba.
I had the pleasure of meeting him along with Nelly Furtado and 54/40 last year at a
private concert for Syrian Rufugees and staff at VIRCS/ICA in Victoria.

Both Alex and Nelly on stage together singing was simply the best music I've heard in a very long time.

Alex lives in Smithers BC.
