What we need is a dual red! 445nm are already very visible as is. Two LOCs or better yet two of those 150-200mW 635nm diodes could make an impressively visible red without needing corrective optics.
 
I read through all the posts on that page and didn't see anything about red diodes but I am on a cellphone.
