Very cheap BEAST Argon Ion at HGR Surplus

Yes, those whiretelights are a lot of fun. I have never seen a hese except In pics. Would very much like to play with one. As for the cadmium... I'm jealous.

Have you seen a whightlight HeCd?

HeSe's are considered "rare", compared to the more common HeCd (relatively).

About your IR HeNe, is it for sale?

If you're interested in a known dead HeCd for $70 shipped, I can pm you.

I've seen one once on a lab tour. I didn't get to play with it. It was quite impressive and intense to see.

As for the IR hene. Its not listed in my signature due to the fact that its an EOL softseal tube. it struggles to light, so its days are numbered....I doubt you'd want it. I'm going to see if I can have it rebuilt...so when and if I do manage to fix it, I'll consider it...you probably can make better use of it despite its really crappy specs. As for the HeCd, I'd consider it, but if its dead its obviously of little use, and I don't have a place to put it and keep the glass-work safe except my basement, and I doubt my parents would dig having that around when it doesn't work...and I have no idea how or where I could rebuild one of those.

I don't know how you plan to rebuild a HeNe aside from regassing, and that's 4 digits $$$$.

If you find yourself without a need for it, let me know. I'll gladly take it off your hands.

The HGR 2010 on the 271 exciter was last made in late 1988. Right before SP went to switching power supplies for large lasers. If you'd like to try a 24 year old tube, go for it. (DONT)

I've seen it, its not in great shape. It has a purge kit, which means it was ran as a UV system. That pushes hard on the tube.
