I bought a USB hub a while back and as soon as I saw the auxiliary power connector I knew it was going to be a POS and break the minute I plugged it in. I was sort-of wrong; it broke on the second or third time I plugged it in. You can probably guess, it was one of those round, "coaxial" connectors that plugs into a SMD socket that is mounted to the device's PCB. Usually only solder holds the socket onto the board and without exception they always break eventually. Piece of JUNK.
Does anyone know of a good USB hub that isn't a piece of crap and won't break from normal use? Thanks for any ideas; I don't trust the reviews too much and everything I can find looks like it's a made-to-break POS.
