My chair is on loan indefinitely so I can't mess with the working parts so to speak hence i need a separate batt.

LED strips aren't usually damaged by reverse polarity. if in doubt, use a small amp fuse in series incase something goes wrong.

Reverse polarity won't damage them unless they've got inbuilt circuitry.

You could also use some cold cathodes. They run on 12V as well.

I don't fancy having an inverter strapped to a metal based chair with them not being waterproof either . I've hooked them up using 3 16340's works fine, waiting for the proper powerpack before I hook it all up

I've attached the strip LED'S to my chair and rigged up a temp power pack and the results are *Drum Roll ..............*

FYI, some things fluoresce under blue, and often times, can be used to charge glow-in-the-dark pigments! In case you are feeling artistic, GITD pigments usually come in sand-like form, and can be suspended in various clear carriers like epoxy or nail polish.

I don't really need headlights or tail lights I think i'll be seen pretty good with the lights i have as for the GITD, good idea
