Ultrafire C2 Stainless Host ML501P73 637nm

That's great! I killed my first one.. (Of Course!) Hopefully will have another monday. I have a buck/boost 1600ma on order as well that should suit this fine...

Woah, just saw this too. I love how you always try to push your diodes, Fiddy.

How did you kill it?

Hehe yup :) you can imagine me looking at me didoes screaming C'MON MORE ENERGY!

Just saw this thread. Nice output.

So it dropped 50mW in 20 seconds. Not too bad for how hard you are driving it. Have you done a longer test yet? Also does it look redder than it did when it was giving 800mW?

This diode doesn't have any special requirements, right? It just takes a buck or linear driver and you don't have to isolate the diode? I've been getting confused with all the different reds lately.

:thanks:

yeah, its all ready a case isolated diode so any driver will work :D

Same pinout as a 445 with a neutral case. No isolation needed.

Linear and two Li-ions for sure one Li-Ion depending on the drivers dropout or a buck driver with a single Li-Ion.

I have 1050mA and 1400mA drivers with AMC7135's destined for these diodes. I'll decide on how much to give them when everyone else kills theirs (Fiddy = Diode Test Pilot).

I never get tired of saying this, but I'm driving back from Melbourne with a 488nm Argon on board :) I might put that in my signature for the next 2 hours lol.

Oh btw my daughter is driving back on her L plates and I'm being a responsible instructor on the iPad

OH Link to Pic's! http://laserpointerforums.com/f43/my-first-argon-laser-74188.html#post1071976
