Trying to PM and it Just Started Giving me a FireHost Block.???

As the tittle says.

PM's where working Just fine for me until this last one i tried to send to someone that i need to contact.:thinking:

I can type the message out but when i hit send it gives me this:

This is the same thing that was happening when i was trying to re post a thread in the flashlight forum then soon after that i was getting the same message when i tried to edit the thread.

Why this message.

i will contact firehost about it, likely need to tweak a web application security firewall rule

Somehow you triggered the firewall security of the website. It thought you where trying to attack the website and blocked you.

It was Only that PM. I was Able to send other PMS after that.

Its working fine now.

In that PM that i was trying to send i had copied some text from one thread and put it in the PM and that is when it would give me the problem.

When i rewrote it word for word without any copy pasting it sent just fine.

Not sure what would cause that.:thinking:

odd yeah, weird it didn't have the sessionID number in it. need that to investigate it further

Happened to me the other day as well when trying to reply to a thread. Finally gave up. I was trying to quote a previous post.

Also. It tried to block me when trying to post in this thread (with embedded image, or smiley). I changed it to a link and Firehost let me post.!

Maybe Firehost doesn't like embedded images today. *scratch-head Smiley

I got the FireHost message again this morning in the Welcome
section while welcoming a member with my standards "read
on the Forum" post. It tried 4 times to post this.

I finally tried to post "hi..............." and it was accepted.
Then I went in the Post and edited it....

I've noticed that when you C/P or add Images that FireHost
seems to bock it...

I just Posted on the GREEDY PIGS Thread and I got the FireHost
message again...

I removed the smilies and it when through... Seems like FH doesn't
like images of any kind...

Jerry is right. I just posted with a smilie, and got the Firehost message. Took off the smilie and went through.

Very odd.

please copy and paste the exact word for word error message, otherwise it';s not possible for me and firehost to troubleshoot why the rule fired on error

i got one from jerry im investigating with them now

a security rule has been adjusted and it should hopefully not fire on error next time for PMs and threads

Just did a couple of PM tests sending text and smilies...

Your adjustment seems to have solved the problem
with the smilies and it seems to post the PM faster
as well...


EDIT...

FireHost is still blocking Smilies in Post Quick Relies...
as of this writing...
