I decided, after dusting my camera off today, that it was about time I dusted off my lasers too. I didn't end up with much in the end but here's what I got:

532 and 589 over a lake

The same again from high ground over the town - I had to grow big balls for this one as it is a residential area and if I had pointed the lasers too low I'd have risked hitting the ferry terminal.

And finally not beams... but the use of laser light to paint colour on and in my car (you guys are probably sick of seeing my car by now )

Nice shots. Crisp detail. What's the camera? I might be catching the shutter bug soon. :yh:

Sony Alpha series. Nothing too special, middle of the road APS-C sensor type. Just the kit lens too for this one.

There is so much strategised marketecture with camera products. And then specific to low light...gah.
Gotta love the crisp beams of dpss. What power is the 532nm?

Wow! Those are some really nice beam shots. Especially that 589 that's gorgeous. What's the power output of the 589? Don't have one, gotta think about getting one. You got my appetite up. Made my morning. Thanks :drool:

Wow! at that angle I can't explain but has that "take off look":) Water reflection is also cool.
Are you using beam expanders?

Those are some really nice shots trencheel!
My favorite is the 2nd one with the beams shining above the lights along the shoreline.
:gj: and :kewlpics:

I was using a 30 or 25 second exposure. No beam expanders, just a bit of mist. The 532 is a 100mW (unmetered - laserbtb so probably over spec) and the 589 is 50 rated but it was one of the overspec batch that the previous owner metered around 80mW I think. 589nm is the same wavelength as the sodium D line (the prominent colour in a lot of conventional street lights) so its like having your own personal street lamp coloured laser.

Very nice images Trencheel. I like the car image and always love seeing 589. +rep when I can. :)
