So, I need a way to adjust The scope on my squirrel gun and here is what I came up with...:gun:
The innerds are a left over 5mw. greenie form DX. I made the "projectile" the focus just incase I put a hotter LD in some day. And yes the Primer is the switch too.
I have some bad ass squirrels around here

That is so ridiculous, it's an instant classic!
Besides the obvious usefullness, it's also a wonderfully gimmicky host.
Kudos for the idea and execution.

Can i haz beamshotz?
What batteries did you say it runs on?

Batteries...funny story. After I finished all the machining and final fitting of parts I noticed I had measured an 18650 :banghead: I actually stopped and said "Oh well, Thats what its gonna run on now" and it is (for now)
Beam nothing special less than 5mw. hard to even get a pic of it.

So you actually turn it on, insert it into the chamber like any normal bullet,
and then you can use the dot to line up your sight? That is so cool....
However, is the beam coming perfectly straight from your module?
Because more often than not, it's quite "crooked".

Harharr, you got me there.
I WAS wondering about the size of your squirrels...
It would work that way though, wouldn't it? If you had a big enough gun I mean.
In any case, it's a very innovative build.

Thanks man.

Eek, $50. Plus driver/diode upgrades. I dont know if I want to spend over $140 for a 445nm bullet.

Yes i agree i have been putting it off for months now. But it will get done after Christmas.;) Its a heavy solid laser bullet and very unique. That is the only reason why i still want to do it.:)

TJ I think I have a few empty 50 BMG cases in storage, and if You want one to play with I'll dig one out and send it your way.
