Quit being a pansy and just get a short arc kit even you have to make one for it. ;)

No such thing as an automotive short arc kit, fool!

I'm pretty sure I see a filament there. Looks like you lost even at "80% chance"... so don't plan a vegas trip any time soon :D

They generally use about 55W, but maybe more like 40W if you're running from a small SLA. According to this thread on CPF, they have 1000-1500lm.

Damn... Oh well... Im not that good with non-laser photon emitters. :D

Basicly I'm saying to find a way to mount one of these

With a lighter weight battery inside of

To be able to do this

Not likely to happen if not impossible, but still more or less was joking around.

dude, backpack! on the back would be the battery pack, and on the front, right on your chest, you could have the actual light assembly facing forward, so everywhere you walk there will be a spotlight in front of you! Well, where there's a will, there's a way ;-)

Lets try a Xenon short arc lamp in that!!

Anyways... you may want to try an 6500K HID (35W) in that. The kits are around.
~180 for the ballast and 60 for the bulb?

get a 4300k H4 motorcycle HID kit off of ebay. Or get the automotive H4 one to get two ballasts and two burners.

4300k is generally brighter than 6500k

What are those HID kits on ebay that are like 60 bucks for 2 ballasts and two bulbs?

35W high pressure metal halides in a P32/d base, or rebased to fit halogen bulb bases. Xenon added to increase light output during warm-up.

4300k for highest lumen output at 35W.

all ebay kits are cheap craps in boxes, just gotta cross your fingers when you click "Buy"

Also, many H4 PnP kits do weird things like move the bulb with a solenoid for high beams, or have a piggy-backed mini halogen bulb for the high beam. Try to avoid these and just get the regular burner centered on an H4 base.

Those look good. They do have that extra bulb shield that you'll need to remove, but they aren't those weird ones that move or that have a separate bulb.
