I was photographing my BR to demonstrate Glenn's BR goggles. Imagine if what happened here to my camera was your eyes.

Poor CCD sensor, it will never be the same again :cryyy:
The sensor in my phones camera has very similar damage, don't point your laser in yours eyes people!

Man I am sure glad my eyes (and cameras) are still so good! Goggles are a very important step in safety, so is careful planning and control of the area in which we lase!

This shot (with >300 mW total of lasers), took me 3X as long to lay out and accomplish due to care of eyes and cameras! -Glenn

Good warning SMIDSY...:D

Brings back memories of GooeyGus's burnt sensor, haha.

I have heard that lasers can also damage video projectors too- that would suck worse than the camera, but that's nothing compared to a precious retina! good pics & points

Wow. Please tell me that wasn't like a high end DSLR...

Nope, EXIF data says, KU990 Viewty cell-phone.

Too bad SMIDSY it has a great video camera, I use my old 990 to take all my tesla coil/youtube videos.

really was good- printable photos + 120fps shooting. Is a shame...

+1 (if I can) for using your noodle and looking at the EXIF!

Good example for noobs & VETS alike, SMIDSY-----rob

so so true- goes to show even people who have been here a while make mistakes.

I'm so thankful it was the CCD not my eyes :-)
