hey guys, from what I have been able to gather from the 6 drives i've taken apart so far is that all the ones with parts #X810225 has the higher power diode. The sled is the PHR-803T that has been mentioned several times. I will bring my camera to the lab tomorrow and try to get some pictures of the other drives just to confirm this. I will take a picture of the drive I got for myself as well. I have another 10 drives to take apart so I will work on taking some pictures of the process. Finals start next week so I don't know how much I will get done this week, but I will be harvesting at least a few diodes to run a max current/power test as well as a lifetime test at 80% of max current. I have to build a test base first to log the time since it could be on the order of days. I also have to make up some heatsinks as well. I'll track down the numbers off the drives I can find and post them as soon as I do. I think my professor bought all the remaining drives from one of the best buys here in tucson and we may buy the ones at the other as well so we could get some good data out of these. Hopefully tomorrow I will have some max value data.
