what's the longest you've ever had to wait for something that was backordered?
 





Well I placed an order for a few items including solder wick. Funny but the solder wick was back ordered...lol. It came about a week after my other items arrived.

This was the only order I have placed with DX. But they do have a lot of neat stuff so I will probably be placing anther one soon for some toys and things.

I ordered the 90mW Ultrafire on the 24th.. while it was shown as "Typically ships in 2 to 3 business days". On the 26th, the stock status changed to "Back Ordered". Since then I've watched my order status change from "waiting for supplier" to "ready for packaging" and then to "ready for shipment shortly", which is where it's been since Thursday. I'll let you know when I get it or a tracking number...
 
Same here.. I ordered mine on the 5th and now it started to change status. The latest update is: Ready for shipment shortly via tracked airmail. But the strange thing is if i look at the invoice it says "ordering". Seems with DX that you newer know until you can track the parcel with HK post.

the same thing happened to me i ordered the 11th. except I got an email saying they were way out of stock and I could either cancel the order or chose something else...the e-mail makes it sound like i'm never going to get it, but the status went from waiting for supplier to packaging to packaged to waiting for shipment shortly. i ordered batteries and a charger at the same time as the laser and i already got them. I think I'm going to cancel the order and buy from a different site....

dang, well lets use some imagination. it takes about 3 weeks for an item to get ot us, so maybe it takes about 3 weeks for them to recieve their shipments? 3 weeks since the 11th...maybe they should be getting it soon?
 
i would think they would be in shipment again about 3 weeks after it's back ordered, i hate waiting.
 
I can deal with the waiting but dishonesty in selling really chaps me.. If they're not going to be able to provide the Laser I paid for, why would they not tell me? Why would they tell me the status is packaged and "ready to ship shortly"? I hope this isn't the case.
 
Well I hope the wait for all of you is worth it... :) I hate waiting too.... :P

i dont think they would do that....
has DX ever had an item that was back ordered and then just disappeared? or just stayed back ordered forever? lol
 
i guess they didn't say I would never get it they just made it sound that way. when I re-read it I guess I still may get it if I wait long enough...I think I'm not sure. Anyways, here is the e-mail I recieved:

Dear valued customer,
Apologize for inconveniences we caused to you. The items in your order was stock shortage one month, and we are not sure when we can have the manual in hand. So at this point, below is 2 options for you:
1.You may change the items to any other products with the same value and functions in our homepage.
2.you may cancel the order ,and we will issue a refund for you.

The reason I thought I would never get it is that neither option is to wait until they have it in stock. So I have no idea what is going to happen but I'm really aggravated. If you guys could help me come up with another laser that would be good for me, for around the same price and at least the same quality that would be great. For additional info go to the link in my previous post. Thanks a bunch, and sorry if I scarred you guys about the e-mail. I still kinda think I'm never getting that laser even if i wait...

they can tell you anything, it's all different support people, they give their oppinions, i think she was just saying you could buy another and get it sooner. on what date did she tell you this? was it after teh 11th?
i looked at teh rechargable laser and it's also back ordered, might that have to do with the shipment of the 2 comming in at the same time?
