Pretty sweet. What batteris are used in those?
I believe these are thermally limited (passively, not actively) as even these tiny lipos can discharge longer than thermal buildup allows since he's using SMPS and not linear tech.
Awesome set! Im assuming the 4th one is 405? Whats the duty cycles like on those, or is it limited by battery life? Those tiny lipo's surely csnt last too long.
I want a set what is cost of manufacturing and parts
The background to why I was okay with that, is that I built these with the intention that the would be "it" for me - that they'd be the set I'd hold on to forever, locked away, as something to look back on in 50 years, etc. I had a few spare parts made in case some funky new diode comes out in the future, but barring that, this is meant to be my complete collection, eventually, and I'll probably get rid of anything else I still have.
I see we're basically at the same point in our laser "careers". Though perhaps you're a bit closer to "retirement" than I, as the remainders on my list are bound to take a while to get the funds and opportunity for, given my financial stature. I could be wrong though, your list may be far more extensive. I digress, in any event, I totally understand your aims.
